To reduce load time at Commons, it would be good to have a version of Vector skin available for Commons that integrates the settings of the gadget "Place categories above content, but below image on file description pages." available at [[Commons:Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-gadgets]].

Gadgets shouldn't effect load (that much) since they run the javascript in the client end on the users browser.

The gadget moves the box with the categories further up on the screen once the page is loaded. This is frequently noticeable.
It was an issue noted by some of the more active participants who do use it ([[Commons:Commons:Village_pump/Archive/2010/09#Layout_option_.22Place_categories_above_content.2C_but_below_image_on_file_description_pages..22]])
If the category box was placed correctly from start, this could be avoided.
