As MinT is used in more contexts, some limitations have appeared when the contents to translate are using wikitext markup. For example, using MinT on translatewiki.net (T340544) has surfaced issues such as T341544: Wikitext syntax is translated when requesting translations via MinT.
Similarly recent use of MinT for translatable pages (T341445) can surface similar cases where the wikitext markup produces noise in the resulting translation.

This Epic ticket proposes to support arbitrary wikitext markup. In this way, a source text containing wikitext can be processed by MinT so that contents are translated, and the wikitext markup is preserved for the right parts of the translation.
