Jumping to content deletes label
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • go to https://www.wikifunctions.org/wiki/Special:CreateObject on a desktop
  • press Tab once to see "Jump to content"
  • press Return to jump to content
  • press Tab once more to highlight the pen in the About box
  • press Return and give the new object a label
  • tab to Done (so far, all of this can also be done with the mouse)
  • once the modal is gone, tab again to see "Jump to content"
  • press Return

What happens?:
Focus moves to content, but the label that we entered is gone.

What should have happened instead?:
Focus should move to the content, but the label we have already entered should remain.

Maybe even better, once I select Done in the modal with the keyboard, my focus should return to the pencil icon in About.

Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
