Weekly update:

• Created meta page: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_Edit_Types/Edit_Summaries
• Did qualitative coding of edit summaries. Setup template here and worked with Marija on the codebook to have both of us do the first set of 25 each edits by IP editors, newcomers, mid-experienced, and experienced editors.
• Submitted paper but will consider improvements while the thinking is still fresh

• Discussing possible extensions to this work related to how we can use models to connect edits, edit summaries, and relevant policies

• Mixed but positive reviews. Working on rebuttal. Main lift seems to be convincing folks that it is indeed important to be training much smaller models even if they can't match GPT-4 level performance on these tasks.

• Wrapped up rebuttal so we'll see how that goes. Notification seems to happen on February 1st so not for a bit.
• Working on presentation around edit summaries to team next week as we consider next stages for this work
