Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Navigate to donate.wikipedia.org (I did so via the donate banner on the iOS app, but on an iPad using Safari also works)
  • View the layout

What happens?:
The page layout is off on the tablet display

What should have happened instead?:
The layout should fit well on a tablet display

Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
Tested on Wikipedia iOS App 7.4.3 (2811)
Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
iPad on iPadOS 17.1

Here's an example URL that we're showing in our in-app web view:

I notice that the same bug occurs in the Safari app on iPad, so I think it may have to be fixed on the web side. Notably, rotating to landscape, then back to portrait, fixes it on Safari, but does not fix it in our in-app web view.
