Similar to the automation on EVPN switches currently we need to move the BGP peering from l3 switches in esams and drmrs to homer control, and also export direct/connect irb networks over BGP in drmrs (so we can remove OSPF).

Isn't OSPF required there to benefit from the end to end link cost calculations (eg. draining a transport link)?
Indeed that's a good shout! As we found OSPF isn't actually being used in drmrs, but definitely this would have been a consideration if it was.
