As someone who often navigates to a talk page to read the entirety of a message from a discussion I'm subscribed to and Echo has notified me about, I'd value a quick way of returning to a view (read: Echo notification "tray") where I can see all of the notifications I've received without having to navigate away from where I am on a given page , so that the "receive new comment notification --> review new comment in context --> decide what (if any) action to take --> move on to the next new comment notification --> " loop I often go through is more easeful.
