FRtech, we are in the process of implementing a new platform for stock and DAF gifts called Overflow.co. The timeline on this is compressed as the Major Gifts team would like it in place by 17 November in order to coincide with our major stock and DAF appeal for the fundraising year and we are just signing the agreement today. The platform will require a feed into Civi CRM of the Stock and DAF donors from the Overflow platform. Initially this will be a manual import that we later will want to automate (if all goes well) but we will need your assistance with building the manual import. Given the tight timeline, can we ask the feasibility of this being prioritized in your que to support the desired fundraising timeline? We hope to have active links to generate gifts the week of 30 October. Attached is a sample provided by Overflow of the data fields to be imported.

Note: the attached sample file above includes bitcoin and cash transactions which we will not be doing. Please note only the layout of the stock gifts. Once I have the sample DAF file I will share that here as well. I can get started on creating import templates, but it looks like there may need to be some coding on fr-tech's end - similar to Fidelity import.
Off the top of my head we will need to set the following that are not present in the export file:
- relationship link "Owns the donor Advised Fund"
- payment method
- financial type
- restrictions (Endowment Fund / Unrestricted - general)
- gift source
There will be an Overflow account for END and WMF so I'm guessing we will be creating stock and DAF imports for each. Thanks!
Note, Overflow was able to segregate the details of the address information in the following data CSV for importing.
Thanks @EMartin and @MDemosWMF - in talking to the team it sounds like the next step should be a convo between Melanie and Eileen - I'll look to set that up.
Adding an update that we do not need DAF imports, only stock. Overflow just initiates the gift so we will use our already existing imports to process the DAFs. This cuts down on some of the work needed!
I am starting work on the stock import templates now.
@Eileenmcnaughton I've got WMF and END stock import templates saved in Civi. There area few things I've noticed:
- Can we set the rules at the top of the import so we don't have to select every time?
- When you write in the default value, it doesn't save in the template. I can't remember if this was one of the features that's in the pipeline or if it's an issue with import
- It seems like only part of the mapping is saving in the templates - the name and address fields I have had to enter again
I've saved my test files with fake data below
@Eileenmcnaughton It looks like my WMF Stock import template is good now - all mapping fields are saving as well as the rules at the top of the mapping page. I tested this one with fake data and it worked! We just have to figure out the civi auto TYL suppression rules so it doesn't send a TY for gifts $10K and up. At the moment I think it is just suppressing all until we do that.
I tried to use my END Stock import template, but it gave me this error. Any ideas why?

@Eileenmcnaughton MG team is changing some of their TY rules and they have told me there is no need to add any TY suppression. They would like an auto TY to go to all who have an email listed upon import.
Yes, I was just told by @RLewis. She has confirmed this update for stock but will be following up regarding other gift types.
@MDemosWMF 2 things
- I'm just deploying a patch now that means imports will respect any value you configure over any values set in the code
- that import template you created just didn't seem to be there. Let's try again tomorrow just creating it from scratch
