Tracking task for new language feature requests for Wikifunctions
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

Task O7: Implementations in other languages

We will make an effort to call out to other programming language communities to integrate them into Wikifunctions, and support them. Candidates for implementations are Web Assembler, PHP, Rust, C/C++, R, Swift, Go, and others, but it depends on the interest of the core team and the external communities to create and support these interfaces.

Event Timeline

As per T343755#9076784, on Phabricator we're not meant to use tracking tasks. Sorry for the confusion, but I think we should mark this as Invalid.

  1. Well @DVrandecic said it was a good idea when I proposed a tracking task
  2. How do I propose a new column for the workboard then?

Yeah, I had old information re tracking tasks. That's how I would have done it. I checked in with James, and he said to either use a column or a project.

More on columns here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Phabricator/Project_management#Boards

I am not sure I want to use a column for that, as it would be part of and yet orthogonal to our task board.

I think Projects are the right way to go.

Here's on projects in Phabricator: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Phabricator/Project_management#Projects

And here's on how to create them: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Phabricator/Creating_and_renaming_projects
