What happens?:
the (dead) URL was enclose in two single quotemarks for italic style. The bot places the template in the middle of the URL, which destroys it. The URL within the template only contains the beginning of the URL and is therefore also destroyed.
What should have happened instead?:
wikisyntax allows ''https://dead.example.com''
Best result would be: ''https://dead.example.com'' → {{Toter Link|url=https://dead.example.com|text=''dead.example.com''|datum=2021-12-05|archivebot=2023-12-04 00:36:21 InternetArchiveBot}}
