https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Desire_series has a super long table of contents and hence left sidebar.

when i zoom it to 150%, the sidebar is not a sidebar anymore but just a button on top left corner, only by clicking it will the sidebar appear. but, because it's super long, its bottom part will not show because it cannot be scrolled.

it's fine when i only zoom to 133%.

i have poor eyesight so i always zoom wikipedia websites to 150%. i can imagine there are plenty of people who zoom to 150% or more. this bug is a problem for people like us.

the floating sidebar should be made scrollable too.

using firefox 120.0 (64-bit) on win10 laptop.

We are currently working on a beta feature that allows you to change font size without zooming. You can preview it with the following URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Desire_series?vectorclientpreferences=1

This should allow you increase the font size of the article without impacting the sidebar/table of contents./

For comparison purposes this is 150% zoom

Relying on browser zoom is challenging given the skin is responsive and in some cases it is preferable for the table of contents to collapse, but the lack of scrolling does look like a bug to me:

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Zoom in 150%
  • Click the table of contents button
  • Scroll down page

What happens?:
I can't scroll the table of contents. beyond the heading 2020

What should have happened instead?:

The table of contents should be fully scrollable.

adjustable font size is definitely a good feature for the visually impaired.

i dont see anything different from your preview link.

i had also disabled vector 2022 (mostly because of the unproductive left and right double sidebars). i noticed this unscrollable TOC only when i logged out.
so, even if adjustable font size becomes available thru preferences, unregistered users might not benefit from it?

Should be fixed by T352930. Edward will QA as part of that ticket. Stalling until the fix is posted.

Tested and I can no longer reproduce this. Resolving this for now, but @RoyZuo feel free to re-open if you're still experiencing this issue.
