Hide CTA to edit Wikipedia on thank you page when loading from the apps
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

We do not want the apps to display the "Try editing Wikipedia" CTA, because navigation loses the login state and directs the users to the mobile web Create an Account > Suggested Edits flow. This is especially bad for Android which has its own Suggested Edits feature and could cause confusion. We want to hide this CTA when the thank you page is loaded from the apps.

The thankyou.wikipedia.org page urls can look like this when coming from the app(s):

Settings:
https://thankyou.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thank_You/en?country=US&amount=1.00&currency=USD&payment_method=apple&order_id={orderid}&recurring=&utm_medium=WikipediaApp&utm_source=appmenu.app.apple&utm_campaign=iOS

Campaign Modal:
https://thankyou.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thank_You/en?country=US&amount=1.00&currency=USD&payment_method=paypal&order_id={orderid}&recurring=&utm_medium=WikipediaApp&utm_source=app_2023_en6C_iOS_control.default%7Edefault%7EJimmyQuote%7Edefault%7Econtrol.paypal&utm_campaign=iOS

Can we hide the CTA if the url utm_medium query item == WikipediaApp?
