PageTriage is not considering "<Ref" as a reference, while checking for unreferenced articles
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Go to an article that shows up in the NewPagesFeed
  • Edit the first "<ref" to "<Ref" in the article

What happens?:
The toolbar now says that the article has no citations, even though a list of references will be shown at the end of the article

What should have happened instead?:
Page triage shouldn't consider the article as unreferenced.

Other information: ArticleCompileSnippet is probably where the fix needs to be done.

Hi and thank you for your interest! Please check thoroughly https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/New_Developers (and all of its communication section!). The page covers how to get started, assigning tasks, task status, how to find a codebase, how to create patches, where to ask general development questions and where to get help with setup problems, and how to ask good questions. Thanks a lot! :)
