Change: rMW0afe7f7c99cd: UserOptionsManager: Do not consider null to be equal to anything but a null
Summary:
- Previously, setting a user preference to the empty string via UserOptionsManager or the API was the same as unsetting it (it was deleted from the DB and when getching the preference, the default value was returned). Now, the empty string is a valid value that can be saved and read normally.
- It's unlikely anything relied on the old behavior, but on the off chance that something did, and starts to misbehave, it would be hard to figure out what's going on, so listing the change here for awareness.
Revert plan: feel free to revert the patch if you think it's causing issues.
