As more features are being added to the event registration tool, the EventDetails page is becoming more complex and taking the role of an event dashboard. From there, organizers can remove participants, send messages, view (individual or aggregated) responses, and accept the clickwrap to see PII. We also have some potential plans for new features, such as adding a new tab for mentorship in the context of T353207.
In practice, this means that after an organizer has enabled registration (using Special:EnableEventRegistration), they may want/need to take further action on the EventDetails page. Hence, it would be nice to present them with a short list of what they can do after enabling registration. For instance, this could be shown in the confirmation message when registration has been enabled:
A somewhat related idea is to show a "persistent" checklist of actions that the organizer could take to improve their event. This would be similar to the checklists that some services shown upon creating an account (e.g., "add a profile picture", "confirm your email address", "introduce yourself"), where there's generally a "completion percentage" component. This might be shown in EventDetails itself, as shown in the high quality mockup™ below:
However, I'm not sure what exactly these suggestions would be, and whether they should be per event, or per organizer and event. Therefore, this is out of scope for this task.
