Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

What happens?:

The GitLab logo in the header bar renders as a large image.

What should have happened instead?:
The image should render smaller so the top part of the page is visible

Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):

Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):

  • Firefox 123.0 on Ubuntu 22.04
  • Also reproducible on Chrome 121.0.6167.184 on macOS Sonoma

Definitely a regression. I expect we just need to resize a custom logo file, will poke at it.

@brennen Good catch. I didn't spot this in our replica/test instance because I was logged in. Perhaps worth remembering to try a logged out browser as well.

Seems fixed with a resized SVG. Could be reported upstream, but I personally tried searching issues there for relevant stuff and felt my will to live draining away as the search timed out repeatedly, so I gave up. For all I know it might be a feature.
