What are you requesting? Proposal for editor analysis for scoring model of Event Invitations. The main question is: Do we want to update or improve the current the model for generating the Event Invitations list -- and, if yes, what improvements do we want to make?)

What is the problem you're trying to solve? For Event Invitations, we have a model for generating the Event Invitation list, which is shared with organizers so that they can reach out to new audiences and invite them to their event. The hope is that some of the people who are invited join the event and make contributions during the event. The current scoring model provides a score (100, highest and 0, lowest) to all usernames included in the Invitation List. The usernames are generated by looking at who made edits in the last 3 years. The scoring model (see T353459 for details and details in code is meant to provide a means of assessing which users are strong recommendations to invite because they are more likely to join the event and make contributions.

The current problem is that a) we want more people to register, and b) some people who are registering after being invited have low scores. For these reasons, we would like to know how the model can be improved so that more people register and that the scoring more closely aligns with user behavior for registration.

We would consider if we follow the recommendations (if any) on improving the model.

We are imagining that this is light-weight, and it is meant to generate conversation. One way to do this is to have a written brief with 2 options for recommended next steps on how to potentially improve the model.
