Description

Is there any reason why $wgEnableSpecialMute , $wgEnableUserEmailMuteList and $wgEchoPerUserBlacklist should be disabled on translatewiki.net?

If not, can they be enabled?

Surely it should be possible for users to reject unwanted communications.

I think they can be enabled, but the reason is that we haven't changed the default settings. Maybe worth trying to change the defaults in MediaWiki?

I filed T339813 for that some months ago; it hasn't been resolved.
