Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
- Follow the link provided while in mobile view https://m.wikifunctions.org/w/index.php?title=Z4
- Optionally, also switch from mobile view to desktop view and back again
What happens?:
There are no icons at the top between the universal language selector and the watchlist star.
What should have happened instead?:
There should be a view-history clock icon, an edit pencil icon and a stack of three dots after the watchlist star.
The url at this point is https://m.wikifunctions.org/view/en/Z4.
Pasting this url into a different browser produces the same result.
Changing the url to https://m.wikifunctions.org/wiki/Z4 delivers the expected result, but editing and cancelling delivers a page with no top icons at all and a view/en/Z4 url “Discussion” then “page” restores the icons with a wiki/Z4 url. Clicking the history icon then “page” reverts the url to view/en/Z4 with no icons.
Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
iPhone 12 mini with Safari, Chrome and Opera browsers. Another user experienced the same problem with Firefox.
The problem experienced following the link provided above.Following the transformed url
Following the link to user page (no history icon)
After clicking discussion (history icon present on talk page) But still not on the target page (following a fresh url and adding a space to avoid the history being selected)
Success by using the /wiki/Z4 url but
After edit and cancel the link reverts to view/en/Z4 and the icons disappear.
