Feature summary
If a page is in namespace 8 = MediaWiki an attempt to modify protection should be refused.

• Perhaps some superprotect or other more-than-sysop people can be imagined, but no case is known.

Use case(s)

• By good faith, recently a sysop tried to lower access to a system message
• Subsequently and correct, pageinfo reported that individual protection is in effect. Yes, it is, but overruled by generic MediaWiki: block.

Benefits

• Immediately blocking of pointless attempts.
• Avoid confusion in pageinfo.
