Hello!

Your cloud-vps project 'wikicommunityhealth' is currently under multiple threats.

  1. It contains Buster VMs, and we are shutting down hosts running Debian Buster (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T367560)
  1. It is currently not marked as in use on our annual purge registry (https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/News/Cloud_VPS_2024_Purge)

If you're ready for the project to be deleted, feel free to just respond to this email. If you'd like to preserve the project then please follow up on the above items, and subscribe to the cloud-announce mailing list so that you aren't taken by surprise by future maintenance tasks.

If you'd like the project preserved, please take action at the above links!

Thanks,

-Andrew

Hi Andrew, sorry for the late reply. I have marked the project as "In use" in the News/Cloud VPS 2024 Purge.

I should be able to look into upgrading this server this week-end, please DO NOT DELETE the machines.

Thanks for your help.

Cristian

Hello @CristianCantoro, did you make any progress on this? Is there anything I can do to help things along?

@CristianCantoro can you please update us as to the status of this? Both VMs are still present and shut off.

@CristianCantoro: Please reply, otherwise data might get deleted. Thanks.

Andrew claimed this task.

I have deleted remaining Buster VMs.

Hello. I would like to know if it is possible to recover these machines? I would need to recover some code from them (I am going though backups, but I am not sure I have them.

I'm sorry @CristianCantoro, any backups that we might have run on those VMs have long since been purged. I encourage you to enable email notifications in phabricator and subscribe to the https://lists.wikimedia.org/postorius/lists/cloud-announce.lists.wikimedia.org/ mailing list so you don't miss warnings about this kind of thing in the future.
