Adding DPE SRE to the ticket as well. We encountered a similar error on https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T356231#9888102 which we are solving by upgrading the miniconda version. The newversion is out and in test on out test cluster an-test-client1002.eqiad.wmnet.
We recently deployed the conda-analytics v 0.0.32 upgrade which fixed the pytest bit and allows the job to run without using the libmamba work around. So we are keeping an eye on the publish_conda_env job which still has some issues to be reviewed in the coming days.
Moving this to done on the SRE work board as we monitor the publish job.
