Once we switch to Xcode 16 (related work: T370205), our iPad app will switch to a floating tab bar. I noticed the Explore feed search display animation feels off now. This task is for improving that.
(It's not very easy to see this in gif form, but it's apparent on device).

Note: This may no longer be valid, it's not a problem on Experimental Build 7.5.6 (137). It seems that our tech debt in https://github.com/wikimedia/wikipedia-ios/pull/4876 changed enough to fix it.
