Context
We frequently receive questions from Wikimedia Research Fund potential applicants and those who have received funds. We currently answer these questions over email. This is inefficient in some ways to do in its current form b/c we're repeating ourselves. There are different ways to address the particular issue I'm raising here. One standard way I know is to have an FAQ and we prioritize turning questions to FAQ questions and answer them there and then link to the person. A light process around it (who creates the question, who writes the answer, etc.) can be all I'm asking for though I'm not sure. I also admit I'm solutioning ;) so open to other possible solutions. --Leila

Moved this under the task for the next round of the research fund. The plan is to put together an FAQ as we prepare the CFP.
@KinneretG I moved this one to Staged given that we talked over email and it sounds like you're picking some version of this one up. Once you start working on it, please move it to In progress. I also attached an arbitrary deadline to it. Please update the deadline to what works for you.
started gathering a very draft list of questions and answers- https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f7iAGTsTYp1I7IKsrwSJyiBjln3BGNIsBrO3gBAb2EU/edit?tab=t.0
Moving this task to In Progress.
I’ve added questions and answers based on our open call last week. I’m resolving this task since we found a simple solution for the need raised and have already started implementing it.
Moving forward, I will continue adding FAQs to the page based on questions received during office hours and via email. Members of the Research Fund Committees are also welcome to contribute, and regardless, I will continue monitoring the page to ensure consistency.
Thanks you, Kinneret, for your work. For archive happiness, here is the link to the FAQ: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Grants:Project/Wikimedia_Research_%26_Technology_Fund/Wikimedia_Research_Fund/FAQ
