Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

In T370588 I reported that enwiki and fawikia are down, showing fatal errors.

What happens?:

https://www.wikimediastatus.net/ claims the everything is okay!

What should have happened instead?:

It should realize that enwiki or some other production wiki is inaccessible.

It does say, down low "175.65 errors/second". There's a valid feature request for it to synthesize the presence of an unacknowledged incident from stats like that (right now a human has to say there's an incident for anything to show there AFAIK).

Please note that "Updates are posted manually and will not be instant: they are written by the same engineers who are working on troubleshooting and resolving the problem.", according to the user instruction.

That's not a bug (but if at all, a feature request) and not a subtask either...

There's clearly a valid feature request here. I've retitled the task to emphaisze it, and am reopening.
