T369547 will introduce a feedback message that will appear in response to people attempting to use Citoid to generate a citation for a content format Citoid does NOT support.

This task is the "proactive companion" to T369547 in so far as it will invite us to explore ways we could consider the current Citoid experience [i] to reduce the likelihood that people develop inaccurate expectations for what they can use Citoid to do.

Story

As someone who is new/newer to using the visual editor to add citations to articles/content I'm editing, I'd like to know as soon as possible whether the tool I'm using to generate citations supports the content I'm trying to cite, so that I'm not investing time/effort into trying to do something that's not currently possible.
