List the top X languages that allow to reach the largest share of readers
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

@CMyrick-WMF has been working on language coverage metrics. One question we have when we think about AI language coverage is how many readers/speakers would we reach if we work with the top X languages. Caroline will provide estimates in this task.

Event Timeline

@CMyrick-WMF thank you for being willing to work on this. Can you give us a sense by when you expect to be able to share info on this front? And something on my end: it is totally okay if you give us a rough estimate first and then improve it. It will be very helpful for us to have a rough sense of the number. (There are many beers on the line here.lol)

And please don't stress about this task. thank you!

@CMyrick-WMF thank you for working on this task. We have sufficient information on this front to be able to proceed. I know that you can still explore this question further. I'm going to resolve this ticket b/c we have all we need for the parent task. If you want to re-open and make it a stand-alone task for further explorations, of course feel free. Thanks!
