We waste time every time someone needs to discuss or handle some new deletion request for misfiled stuff dumped into our installation. So at least warn.

Change #1059036 had a related patch set uploaded (by Aklapper; author: Aklapper):
[operations/debs/etherpad-lite@master] Make Etherpad frontpage say it's not for personal use
There is a default message in every new pad. fwiw.
Yeah, and it says nothing about content being out of scope. :)
(copying over from @Jelto's comment on Gerrit)
That default text is stored in puppet at https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/plugins/gitiles/operations/puppet/+/refs/heads/production/modules/etherpad/templates/settings.json.erb#19

Let's decline then (thanks for the better patch!)
Change #1060082 merged by Dzahn:
[operations/puppet@production] etherpad: make defaultPadText more explicit about personal use
Thanks for deploying. I created a new pad and the defaultPadText says:
Welcome to the WMF Etherpad installation. Please do NOT use this Etherpad for personal use. Your Etherpad may get deleted at any time without warning if its content is not related to Wikimedia. Please keep in mind all current as well as past content in any pad is public. Removing content from a pad does not mean it is deleted. Keep in mind as well that there is no guarantee that a pad's contents will always be available. A pad may be corrupted, deleted or similar. Please keep a copy of important data somewhere else as well. Note that Wikimedia Code of Conduct (https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Code_of_Conduct) applies in this Etherpad instance as well
So I'll resolve the task optimistically. If anyone sees the need to make that even more obvious I'm happy to review patches for puppet or the etherpad Debian package. But as mentioned in Gerrit already I'd like to keep the Debian package as standard as possible. It's already not an easy process to build this package and we are about to migrate to the new major version. So If there is any additional customization for the Debian package I might need some support in updating the build workflow (Docs, CI, testing it against v2.*, etc).
