Evaluate level of control editors should have over the size of a chart
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Background

Editors can select width and height for Charts using parameters. This could create problems when displaying in Vector 2022 with a limited width and on mobile if a large width is given. We should consider limiting the control e.g. size=small, size=large

User story

AS a reader I want to always be able to view graphs optimized for my device and its screen size.

Requirements

  • We've decided how to adapt graphs to different devices
  • We've discussed as a team with designer and PM the pros and cons of arbitary width/height options.
  • We've decided what level of control to give to editors with regards to size
  • We've discussed and considered how charts would adapt if article content had a grid system in future.
