We have had various reports of issues with the existing dark mode feature relating to the homepage. This feedback is provided here so you can spin out any necessary bugs or use this to prioritize switching from the invert approach to dark mode.
Note some issues may relate to the user misunderstanding they are using the gadget, so if something cannot be replicated.
the message: Wikipedia is built by people like you working together. Your edits help improve Wikipedia and further the mission to share free knowledge with the world. Continue to start with small suggested edits. uses dark text and its verry hard to read, it should be white text. this happens on my home page

There are articles that use transparent images where the only color is black, obviously making it difficult to read. One of the articles is List of musical symbols.

Some text boxes such as the "Suggested Edits" page on my account homepage are showing with little to no contrast. This makes it near impossible to read.

On the special logged in homepage the images for the most viewed edits are color inverted and appear demonic
