Looked into the issues:

There are articles that use transparent images where the only color is black, obviously making it difficult to read. One of the articles is List of musical symbols.

• confirmed, though doesn't look as Growth team-related issue. Filed as T372674: Dark Mode: svg images do not display inverted colors (tagged Web team and Editing team).

Some text boxes such as the "Suggested Edits" page on my account homepage are showing with little to no contrast. This makes it near impossible to read.

• those checkboxes are not the only user controls for selection; the label area is also clickable. There are some guidance on required contrast ratio for non-text, non-active elements on a page (WCAG21/Understanding/non-text-contrast. But some this might need some additional evaluation.

On the special logged in homepage the images for the most viewed edits are color inverted and appear demonic

• it was the issue at some point (e.g. T351097: Suggested edits images in dark mode are in inverted colours) which was fixed. I did not encounter any examples of images in Suggested module on Special:Homepage not displaying inverted colors. Any examples of the issue would be helpful.

I can't replicate either. I suspect they might be using the gadget?

@Jdlrobson - the issue T351097 was reported (and fixed) for the gadget. I checked both in wmf.18 - Dark_mode (gadget and Dark mode. The issue is not present.

I re-checked Special:Homepage (I initially misunderstood the report - it is about "text boxes" not "check boxes"). I re-run Lighthouse (96% Accessibility score) and axe Dev Tools (no contrast issues). So, the page seems to be a very good shape.

Here is the screenshot of my homepage (desktop version) on the Chinese Wikipedia F57289784, and you can see images color in "Most viewed (since your edit)" part is inverted.
