While investigating T372768: [BUG] MediawikiPageContentChangeEnrichAvailability is firing we realized that eventutilities_python operator ad-hoc metrics (EventProcessFunction instrumentation)
are under-reporting the number processed (outgoing) events wrt what is reported by kafka producer instrumentation.
While we can fallback on other (related) metrics for reporting and alerting, we should investigate where the discrepancies come from.
