Experiment extension experiment UI flag
Closed, DeclinedPublicDesign

Description

As an experiment Chrome extension user, I want to be able to see which parts of the UI are part of an experiment.

As a Web Team member, I want to show extension users which parts of the UI are part of an experiment without priming them to look at or use the features ahead of time.

Event Timeline

I had something like this in mind:

Clicking the link would open the browser extension mini window and have an explanation.

Jdlrobson subscribed.

We want to run this by Olga and see if we want to adjust the mock / requirements of T373584. We can merge this ticket into that one if so.

Jdlrobson lowered the priority of this task from High to Medium.

Reviewing this now and I would say we can proceed, but not a blocker for launching the second experiment. Given that, moving to next sprint for estimation

I changed my mind on this one. Rather than clutter up the UI with lots of little "experimental" flags, let's use the browser extension mini window to highlight what experiences are being changed by the extension at any given time.
