Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):
- use Firefox
- go to wiki with EditCheck deployed
- select mobile version
- edit any article, for example https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Wilmore
- add a sentence and click on "save" to trigger the reference check pop up to show -> it appears on the bottom of the page
- click anywhere outside of the pop up window
What happens?:
pop-up disappears. User can't almost do anything: there is no pop-up to select any option and there's no way to save the edit. The only active button is the "back" button [<], but clicking on it doesn't do anything. After clicking the button, console shows error: Uncaught TypeError: context.items[0] is undefined.
With some random clicks (on desktop) and presses (on smartphone) I managed to be able to edit text in links, and then with keyboard arrows outside of the links as well. One time, after hectic clicks here and there, the edit check pop-up appeared again, and everything seemed to be in order, however I have no idea what I really did.
What should have happened instead?:
Everything should work
Software version (on Special:Version page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):
Windows 11, Firefox 130.
Android 14, Firefox 130.
Both in private mode, extensions disabled.
I tried to reproduce the same problem on Google Chrome 129, but couldn't. The pop up window is always there, doesn't disappear. There seems to be a problem only with Firefox.
