Description

Steps to reproduce:

Enable JavaScript
Open http://de.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/w/index.php?title=Wikipedia:Spielwiese&action=edit
Jump into "Zusammenfassung"
Enter as much ASCII characters as possible

-> After 250 characters the maxlength is reached

Actual result:
-> Nothing happens

Expected result:
-> The the ASCII character replaces the selected text
