Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • While editing a page's source on en.wikipedia.org,
  • Type [[New Year (disambiguation)]]

What happens?:
A popup appears warning me that I'm linking to a disambiguation page

What should have happened instead?:
The popup should not appear

When intentionally linking to a disambiguation page on en.wikipedia.org, it is best practice to link to "(disambiguation)", even if it is a redirect to the unqualified name.
