Turns out LandingCheck is still used: "donor policy" in the bottom matter of https://donate.wikimedia.org is a link to LandingCheck.

(I found this because I was curious what LandingCheck even did, having never heard of it despite being familiar with most Wikimedia extensions, then wondered if it was still used at all, then ran a CodeSearch for it, and found that.)

@Pppery: Interesting! I was going to ask Fundraising Tech to review as I know they also have some old uses of this wiki. I wonder if that is something still necessary, if so, then we can obviously leave it.

This ticket will likely remain in draft for awhile as it will obviously require some investigating, and may ultimately result in closure before any changes are sought, but my sense is that there may be some optional extensions we can turn off - but - I could be completely wrong. Either way, it feels worth reviewing/pondering.
