Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Set maths formatting mode to MathML
  • Use Safari v. 15.6.1 running on MacOS 10.15.7
  • Enter the formula \frac{x}{x}\quad\frac{x}{y}\quad\frac{x}{l}\quad\frac{x}{2}
  • and `\frac{x}{x}\quad\frac{y}x\quad\frac{l}x\quad\frac{2}x

What happens?:

In macOS 12.7.3 and Safari 17.6 the problem is not so bad, but it does not correctly get the baselines of the numerator and denominators to line up correctly.
