Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • locally add $wgRCWatchCategoryMembership = true;
  • add a category to your watchlist; e.g. https://en.wikipedia.beta.wmflabs.org/wiki/Category:Wikipedia_how-to
  • add a page to said category;
  • open the desktop watchlist;
  • add the filter "Category changes";
  • save the current filter settings and set them as default using the bookmark icon
  • open mobile site
  • make sure advanced mode is disabled
  • open the mobile watchlist.

What happens?:

No overlap
