Together with research track co-chair (Matt Vetter)

Create a call for contributions. For example, see the 2024 CfP https://wikiworkshop.org/call-for-papers/

Things that need to be done:

Define timeline with important dates (submission, etc)
Update CfP from 2024
- Define submission format
- Provide submission templates
- Update privacy statement
- Set up submission system (e.g. OpenReview) to share submission URL
- revise topics for submission
Publish the CfP on the website
Advertise the CfP

weekly update:

needed to get organized about todos for the Research track
for CfP, the first step was to draft a rough timeline of dates (submission deadline, review period, etc). will consult with co-organizer and organizers from research fund etc.
next step: revising the CfP from last year.

weekly update:

Coordinated timeline with Kinneret (make sure it aligns with Research Fund and other Wikimedia Research events) and revised slightly to accomodate that
Drafted first version of updated CfP
Starting revising submission templates
Coordinated with Kinneret about creating an OpenReview instance in order to get a submission link that we can mention in the CfP
Coordinated with Kinneret about updates to the Privacy Policy
Main blocker for proceeding now with the CfP is that I am waiting for confirmation of the co-PC chair to finalize timeline and draft for the CfP

after publishing the CfP, I did a first wide round of advertising in mailing lists etc. Will continue in the next weeks with some individual posts/reminders. But will mark this task closed as CfP has been published.
