Description

To help maintainers understand the design of the system, document the architecture of the Metrics Platform system. If I remember correctly, Santi has a working Google Doc that contains a lot of good content that could be used for this.

Just for context: The diagram that @apaskulin mentions in the description is here and it's fully based on the one that @cjming created before here. The first one is focused on explaining how experiments membership flow works and I would say the second one is more generic and all the components are shown there without any specific flow explained.

@phuedx I made some minor edits to the architecture page -- more trying to update references to MPIC with EPIC (for better or worse) and added some links to the app and endpoints. Feel free to revert if it further than than reduces confusion.
