Option 1

I took the liberty of editing the text on this one

@ifried please take a look at the two mockups and let me know which you prefer

Option 1 is preferred! It does take up quite a bit of space, but I think it is still the best option because a) i think it is more readable and clear, b) if someone wants to register, they will still do that and i don't see the additional button as a blocker, c) once someone registers, the 'manage registration' button is usually not very used, so that space will actually be better served by a clear call to action to find other events, and d) i think option 2 just looks a bit weird. How does that sound to you, @MHorsey-WMF? Any concerns? If not, let's move forward with option 1!

Thanks for laying out these options!

No concerns, it's going to need a little reworking because the code for that part in the modal is recycled for the same section on the page beneath, but that's fine.

Are you happy with the text modification I made?

Change #1085360 had a related patch set uploaded (by Mhorsey; author: Mhorsey):

[mediawiki/extensions/CampaignEvents@master] Add button to event page modal, to encourage use of Special:AllEvents

@MHorsey-WMF. Apologies for the delayed response! Yes, I think the text is mostly fine. I would just remove the period at the end, since "Register for event" has no period, so I think we should follow the same format for "Find more events and communities"

Thank you!

@ifried Something that wasn't considered above is the participant view of the modal. When you're registered for an event, there's an extra notice in the dialog footer. Here's what it would look like if we add this button:

It's a bit crowded. Should we hide the community list button in this scenario? Or any ideas on how to improve it?

@Daimona, oh good point! Let's remove "...and communities" so it says "Find more events." How does that sound?

That would help. I would still consider having a follow-up task to let Gregory review the design and see if we can change something. English fits just fine:

but that's not necessarily the case for other languages.

Yup, good point, @Daimona. I have updated the AC and will create a new ticket for Gregory.

AC met, sending to design sign off

@gonyeahialam, reminder that this is in design sign-off; thanks!

@ifried Since this was designed by the team, has been implemented and another ticket T379830 was created for me to do improvements. Should I just send it to product sign-off and put any modifications and suggestions in T379830?

Hi, @gonyeahialam, yes any new suggested improvements should be documented in a separate ticket, and then you can move this ticket to product sign-off. Thanks!

This work has been released, so I am marking it as done
