Description

Aim

There are some small copy updates to make to the emergency flow, which are a result of Legal's review and feedback from unmoderated user testing.

Increase character limit
  • Feedback from Legal and users during testing is that the 600 character limit is too small.
  • For MVP, increase character limit to 1000 and add the emergency email to final screen, for those who need to submit longer text and links.

Event Timeline

@mszabo Note that the first copy change is still TBC. I'm waiting to hear what T&S and Legal agree on.

Emergency flow copy updates are confirmed with T&S and Legal.

@Madalina @KColeman-WMF I'm a little unsure about calling the emergency report a "request" ("Your request will be looked into within 3 hours.") but have merged the patch, this is ready for QA.

@kostajh noted, this should be good for now. There will be more copy reviews after we get the chance to see this in action.

@mszabo
I wasn't for sure if the mockup in the ticket Description was the latest updated mockup, so I used the Figma Designs from November 21st for comparison to the screens that were showing during my testing, and below are the differences:

The Figma Design shows:
Your Report submitted for review.
Your request will be looked into within 3 hours.

During my testing its showing:
If your issue isn't covered, please ask the community for help.

The Figma Design shows:
The team monitors emergency reports 24/7, and your request will be looked into within 3 hours.
