Update from Jan on 12/9

Update browser extension description -
@ovasileva
The copy changes have been submitted for review, but they still haven’t been published to the store listing, that should happen any day now.

Unless there is another chrome web store listing, I'm still not seeing the update ):

Also, @ovasileva did we ever decide what to do with the Spanish version?

Oh wait sorry for the spam - the description did indeed update, but I'm remembering Jan said we would need to make a code change to update the title. I'll post in the team channel to figure out what next steps are for this ticket since it's either done or stalled depending on the answers to 1. Spanish and 2. title

Hey! For now, the Spanish version can stay as-is since it's still only showing recommendation features. We can track that in another ticket. The title change itself I believe still makes sense to be tracked here. My suggestion was "Wikipedia new feature experiments". @JScherer-WMF - what do you think?

Justin to confirm the title - as Kim mentioned, I can update the title in code, but I believe only Jan can publish

Asking as the delegate for this hypothesis while Jan's out - is the Spanish version an old version of the code? How is it that it's only showing recommendation features?

@SToyofuku-WMF thanks for raising that. @ovasileva In terms of what experiments we're showing, we've disabled the recommendations experiment for all wikis and enabled the summarization experiment only on enwiki, so eswiki is not getting any experiments right now.

Yeah, that's fine. I was thinking "Wikipedia Reading Experiments" but it's more or less the same thing. I wonder if "reading experiment" is less technical in case we want to do more onboarding in the future.

Justin: "Just go with Olga's title" (The same one as in the description)
Let's wait to next year because the title change requires a version bump

Discussed in standup, we'll get back to this once we're ready to disable the experiment

@ovasileva is this a candidate for next sprint? If not please set status to "Open", if not please start an estimation thread in Slack.

This change is stalled depending on whether or not there will be any feature work related to the browser extension this quarter.

Decision hasn't been made yet since T381744#10513249 and even when we've done that we will still do not have the copy to update it with.
