We currently aim to release our Discord bot onto a private and closed server for testing in January. Our initial release will encompass only features that we have developed until now (in late December). We will assess the potential for further iteration based on the metrics that we collect.
Though we will therefore hold off on releasing additional features, it is important to have some ideas that are relatively fleshed out and scoped on hand so that we can ensure we don't lose momentum with our test audience. As such, we aim to ideate on Phase 2 of our Discord bot.
Acceptance Criteria
- Create and flesh out 3-5 ideas for our Discord bot by 1/17 (tentative). Ideas should be text-based given current capabilities. As such, ideas can take the form of a written brief, though mockups for interaction visualization would also be acceptable.
- At least one idea must be designed specifically for the Depths of Wikipedia server or a private server with at least 1,000 members of your choice. Possibilities are included below.
- At least one idea must utilize our existing quiz functionality or build upon it through additional trivia features. This could include (but should not be limited to), for example, a leaderboard that is easily viewable from the quiz itself, different forms of quizzes and knowledge testing, revealing which users voted for which result, or something else.
- At least one idea must be centered around non-prompted interaction. This could be, for example, a "hidden" feature that is triggered by certain conditions, a subscription-based feature, or something else.
Private Discord Server Possibilities
