As part of improving adding metadata to uploaded images in Upload Wizard T358765, we will focus on improving the category selection as part of KR WE2.3. This is an expansion of work on restyling the category field T361050 released in Q4 FY23-24.
Our goal is to improve the interaction in the upload wizard so users have the ability to select an appropriate category from existing ones in an easy way without having to create new ones
Scope
For Q3 we will focus on improving the category field in Upload Wizard:
- Allow users to navigate within the category structure in upload wizard T383720
- View more categories in the category field's autocomplete list in upload wizard T383721
- Enhance mobile interactions for autocomplete selection fields in upload wizard T383730
- [SPIKE] Investigate how the autocomplete matches are sorted in categories field in upload wizard T383731
Designs will be found in figma. They will be tested with community once ready and feedback incorporated.
