Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

Fresh install the app
Login with an account that has saved articles
Allow saved articles to sync fully (download)
Navigate to saved articles
Turn off wifi on the device
Attempt to load saved articles

What happens?:
Offline message appears

What should have happened instead?:
Saved articles should be visible offline

Software version (on Special:Version page; skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):
Tested on 2.7.50516-r-2025-01-14 on Pixel 6 on Android 15
Other information (browser name/version, screenshots, etc.):

I noticed this issue while testing T383917. If I view the saved article before going offline, then that article is viewable offline. If I have not opened the article, then I go offline, the error message appears.

I did not see the issue that is on T383950 for 2.7.50516-r-2025-01-14. Could you please share the steps you followed when you saw this issue. Were they the same as the steps mentioned in T383950.

Appears to be fixed on 2.7.50541-r-2025-07-14

Tested on Pixel 6 on Android 15 and OnePlus 8 on Android 13. Tested against large and small lists. Added, deleted, and moved articles to lists. Tested offline and online.
