- Go to the Unified Dashboard
- Click on the "New translation" button. You will be navigated to the "Search for an article" step.
What happens?:
The UI is inconsistent with the design specifications as defined in T260141. More specifically, the search input differs from the designed one, and the language selector background color is not the proposed one.
What should have happened instead?:
The UI should align with the design specifications as closely as reasonably possible.
For this task, we will adjust the UI for the search input and language selector to match the design specifications, except for setting the left and right padding of the input to 16px as suggested by the design. This is intentionally skipped due to the complexity of modifying the default left padding of the Codex SearchInput component, especially given the minor discrepancy. Additionally, keeping the default padding ensures better consistency with the Wikimedia Design System.
