We can create the list, I see no problem with this but since there is no clear and simple definition of "private" it will be up to the initial list admins to change any list settings to what they prefer, from the defaults.

Dzahn claimed this task.

List has been created.

lists1004:~] $ sudo mailman-wrapper create --owner me@soyorin.moe wikipedia-zh-editfilters@lists.wikimedia.org
Created mailing list: wikipedia-zh-editfilters@lists.wikimedia.org

The initial list owner should have received an email about it.

Please:

  • verify you can login
  • add the secondary list admin yourself
  • make yourself familiar with any list settings, specifically regarding what parts you want to be private (anyone can post vs confirmations, public archives vs private archives, and so on) and change them as you see fit
  • then you can invite your list members

@Dzahn Thank you very much! :) I can now access list management through Postorius. But I'm not getting relevant emails, I've checked my inbox and spam. Does the email contain any important information that I must know?

@Yiming I might actually be wrong about an email being generated by that command. It's possible I just assumed that because it was the case back in mailman2. If you can login and everything else works I think we are good. Maybe try to send a mail to the list and see if you receive that?

@Dzahn Ok, I got you. Everything is working fine for me, thanks again!
