This task captures roughly the period from Jan-July 2025, during which we will be working to share the revised white paper as much as possible, and solicit feedback from researchers and Wikipedians.
The Meta project page has been updated; most importantly, it now includes a link to the revised white paper available publicly as an OSF Preprint (https://osf.io/uyxnf_v1). Directions for how to provide feedback are also available at the project page here.

I submitted a Wikimania 2025 lightning talk proposal to help socialize this white paper further and solicit feedback from more community members (See proposal: https://wikimedia.eventyay.com/talk/wikimania2025/talk/review/EKSFSXUWBKLF3YLWEDARMVYRKHL8UTBE). This proposal was accepted, so I will deliver the lightning talk (remotely) in early August. While we'll begin working on revisions this month, we'd like to extend the open feedback period until 31 August to accommodate Wikimania audience members who may wish to provide further feedback (via the same process as anyone who has left feedback until now (namely https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikimedia_Research_Best_Practices_Around_Privacy_Whitepaper#How_to_provide_feedback_on_the_latest_version_of_the_privacy_white_paper_(until_1_July_2025). I have updated the Meta page to reflect this extension of open feedback period to be consistent with this phabricator update, and left an update about the Wikimania lightning talk.
Closing this task as the open comment period has come to a close. Over the previous months, we've grateful for the public and private feedback we've received. In the coming days, we will revise the current draft of the white paper by reviewing and integrating this feedback. This revision work is captured via https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T389627, which I've moved to in progress.
