Mentor receiving message through mentor question module, but these mentees do not appear on the mentor's dashboard

Description

Two recent instances, raised here on 21 March and here on 25 March.

I had received standard user talk page messages, tagged Mentorship panel question and Mentorship module question respectively. When I use the mentor template on their account names (and the additional name shown in the 25 March page history), it is my account name that is shown. That is all fine.

However when I go to my Mentor dashboard, it is as if they do not exist: missing from the Mentee table, omitted from the filter search, and their edits are missing from the filtered view of Recent Changes.

Thank you, @AllyD for the report! The design for an additional info message to a mentor was finalized in T389561: Mentorship: Provide context for replacement mentors when they receive a newcomer's message.
I'm merging this task into it.

I'll re-check the visibility of re-assigned temporary mentees on Special:MentorDashboard and will post an update here.

Update: The issue has been confirmed - the re-assigned mentees do not show up on Special:MentorDashboard not in "Your mentees" table or in "Send praise" module.

The scope of this issue - the re-assigned mentees are not present on Special:MentorDashboard and not in the Praise module

Thanks, @AllyD, for logging these bugs and providing feedback on how we can improve Mentorship features!

I think addressing T390933: Allocate new mentees only to an active mentor & T389561: Mentorship: Provide context for replacement mentors when they receive a newcomer's message seem like higher priorities than this task, but let me know if you disagree. Thanks!
